Generale
You can use our user manual, available at the following link: CNC Code user manual (currently in Italian).
CNC Code runs on computers, phones and tablets. These are the recommended requirements to work comfortably with the 3D simulation.
Windows
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, up to date
- At least a 4-core processor (Intel Core i5 8th gen, AMD Ryzen 3 or better)
- 8 GB of RAM
- Graphics with hardware acceleration and current drivers: dedicated NVIDIA or AMD, or recent integrated (Intel UHD 620, Iris Xe, AMD Vega). With the "Microsoft Basic Render Driver" the 3D stutters: update the drivers
- 500 MB of free disk space
- 1920×1080 screen recommended, 1366×768 minimum
macOS
- macOS 12 Monterey or later
- Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later) or 2017+ Intel Mac with 4 cores
- 8 GB of RAM
- 500 MB of free disk space
- On 2015 or older Intel Macs it runs, but 3D quality lowers itself automatically
Android phone
- Android 7.0 or later
- 4 GB of RAM
- Android System WebView updated from the Play Store
- 250 MB free
iPhone
- iOS 15.5 or later
- Any iPhone that reaches iOS 15.5, from the iPhone 6s on
- 250 MB free
iPad
- iPadOS 15.5 or later
- 4 GB of RAM: iPad Air 4, iPad Pro, 10th generation iPad or later
- 250 MB free
- Older iPads start, but 3D quality lowers itself automatically
Android tablet
- Android 7.0 or later
- 4 GB of RAM
- Android System WebView updated from the Play Store
- 250 MB free
- 10-inch screen recommended for the panel layout
On a less powerful computer, the settings offer "3D graphics quality" set to Automatic or Minimum and "3D machine view" set to Essential: the simulated cut does not change, only how much has to be drawn on screen.

Multi Licenza - Scuole
In order for the Quote Request to be taken into consideration and for a quote to be generated, we need the request to be submitted through our Form and for all the data to be filled in correctly.
NOTE: Requests coming from private email addresses will not be considered, only those with an institutional extension, e.g. mariorossi@tuoistituto.it .
Yes, you can request a quote for the Multi License in "lifetime" mode: a one-time purchase with a perpetual license, as an alternative to the subscription.
To receive it, fill out our Quote Request Form indicating that you are interested in the lifetime plan and the number of workstations you want. We will send you a personalized quote.
Advantages of the lifetime license
No recurring cost: you pay once and it's yours forever.
Over the long term, the overall cost is lower compared to the subscription.
Updates and support included for the first year.
Things to keep in mind
The initial expense is higher compared to the monthly/annual subscription.
Updates and support are included for the first year. Once it expires, to keep receiving updates you need to purchase the updates package, sized according to the number of workstations in your license.
Purchasing the updates package is not mandatory: your license keeps working even without it. You may only need it if, over time, your computers' operating system is no longer able to run CNC Code Desktop correctly. It's impossible to predict when this will happen: it could occur after a year and a day, or in ten years: it depends on how your operating system evolves.
With the subscription, on the other hand, updates and support remain included for the entire duration of the subscription.
Risoluzione Problemi
Overview
If CNC Simulator Pro freezes, closes immediately, or shows errors at startup, this article will help you resolve the issue. The application requires internet connectivity on port 80 to verify the license with our servers before opening.
Step 0: Connectivity Check
Run the following command in Command Prompt to check network access to the licensing service:
curl http://licensing.cncsimulator.com
The expected response is an XML string. If you get a timeout or HTML errors, it means something is blocking the connection (firewall, antivirus, corporate proxy).
Step 1: Quick Fixes
- Update to the latest version and restart Windows
- Check the system requirements (Windows 10/11, .NET Framework 4.8, Visual C++ 2015–2022)
- Check your antivirus settings; restore any quarantined files if applicable
Step 2: Reset Program Settings
Hold down the Left ALT key immediately after launching the application until a recovery window appears, then select the settings reset option.
Step 3: Command Line Reset
If the recovery window doesn't appear, run the following from the installation directory:
cncsimulator.exe /ds
Further Assistance
If the problems persist, contact our technical support with your system details and error logs.
Overview
Version 4.0+ features advanced graphics that require modern computers with capable graphics cards. Common issues stem from outdated drivers, insufficient GPU capabilities, or system overload.
Step 1: Update Graphics Drivers
Visit your graphics card manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to download the latest drivers. Restart your computer after installation.
Step 2: Adjust Graphics Settings
- Open Settings → Performance tab
- Set graphics to "Minimum" via automatic settings
- Gradually increase settings individually to identify problematic features
Step 3: Enable OpenGL for Inventory
- Access the Command Prompt from the View menu
- Enter:
use_openglinventory - Restart the application
Step 4: Enable OpenGL for All Graphics
- Use the same process as Step 3
- Enter:
use_opengl - Restart the application
Step 5: Downgrade to Version 3.2
If all steps fail, uninstall the current version and install version 3.2, which has lighter graphics requirements.
Restore Default Settings
- Command Prompt →
use_directxinventory(inventory graphics) - Command Prompt →
use_directx(all graphics) - Restart the application
