Why CNC Code Mobile costs more (and why you can now choose a subscription)

Let's tell you right away, straight up: the price of the CNC Code Mobile lifetime license has gone up. Since we don't like changing things without explaining them, here's what happened and what we've done to leave no one behind.

Today's app is no longer the one from a year ago

When CNC Code was born it was an app for consulting G and M codes and doing a few lathe tests, initially sold for €5.99. Today, inside you'll find:

  • a two-channel lathe simulator, with sub-spindle, live tools with spindle orientation on C axis and B axis;

  • a milling machine simulator with up to 5 axes, with tool change and real radius compensation, on lines and arcs;

  • over 65 controls included in the price: Fanuc, Siemens Sinumerik, Okuma OSP, Heidenhain (Klartext for mills and DIN PLUS for lathes), Haas, Mazak, Mitsubishi, DMG Mori and others. Each with its own language, not a rough translation;

  • a CAD/CAM to design the part and get the program ready to run on the machine;

  • a post-processor that writes the program in the format of the control you've chosen, and verifies it by running it on the simulator;

  • a simulated 3D printer, with integrated slicer;

  • ten languages, continuous updates

  • support via ticket that's really fast.

Every control we add means weeks of work: writing the engine, preparing real test programs, comparing the part that comes out with what would come out of a Fanuc, point by point. This is how we make sure that what you see on the screen is what you would do on the machine.

Why the price has gone up

All this has a cost that doesn't stop the day you buy the app. Servers, store, development, testing on dozens of different phones and computers, answering tickets: these are expenses that keep going year after year.

With a lifetime license paid just once, those who bought it last year still receive all the new controls today, the CAD/CAM and the milling machine, without having paid a single euro more. We're happy about this, and it's only right: those who already have the lifetime license keep it, with all the updates. But to keep growing the app, the lifetime license price for new purchases had to reflect what the app has become.

Of course we know there are free apps or ones priced at €7.99 for example, fine, but it's worth pointing out that they do just one thing and very often you don't get real support and there's no post-processor. Nice to look at, sure, but over time you realize that in the workshop that app isn't much use to you, or barely any.

To be completely honest, a product like CNC CODE doesn't exist elsewhere. It's professional, meaning you export the generated code and actually run it on the machine. We don't joke around about seriousness and professionalism!

Of course some error always shows up hidden somewhere, but just report it to us through the support service you find in the app and we fix it promptly and you'll find the repair with the next app update.

We serve 99+ countries. People contact us from literally all over the world. In addition to companies, we're happy to point out that thousands of students are already studying Mechanics and Mechatronics with CNC CODE Desktop thanks to the supply we offer to their schools, and we're talking about schools in Germany, France, Italy, America and India for now, but we plan to expand to other countries as well.

CNC CODE licenses worldwide

What's new: the annual subscription

We know not everyone wants or is able to spend a higher amount all at once. That's why, alongside the lifetime license, we've added the annual subscription.

Here's how it works:

  • lifetime license: you pay once and CNC Code Mobile is yours forever, updates included;

  • annual subscription: you pay a small amount per year and you get exactly the same app, with all the controls and all the features. No reduced version.

On your phone, the choice is yours, directly on the purchase screen. Desktop and tablet remain with the annual license, as before.

And before paying?

Nothing changes: ten days of free trial, with everything unlocked. Try the lathe, the mill, your control, the CAD/CAM. If you need it, choose the option you prefer. If you don't need it, you owe nothing.

Thanks to everyone who follows us, writes to us and reports problems to us: a good part of what's in the app today was born from one of your tickets.
